Fall Title 1 Meeting

Happy Fall Bulldogs! 

As we start the new year, we always want to remind parents and guardians that we are on your side.  Some of your know, and others do not, but we are a Title 1 District. Title I, Part A program of the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) is additional funding provided by the Local Education Agency (TEA). Schools are identified as a Title I school when at least 40% of their students come from low-income families. The purpose of the additional funding is to “provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps”. As a Title I school, JJHS is required to empower parents to take part in their child’s education, inform you of how we use Title I, and your rights as a parent. Below are some flyers and pamphlets attached to best educate you on your rights and benefits here at JJHS.
