Good Things and Bulldog Brags

Bulldog with megaphone saying Good Things
Consistent hard work is a really GOOD THING, and we are always happy to share the results of the Jasper High School Bulldog Marching Band’s hard work!

On Saturday, October 18 the Bulldog Marching Band competed in the UIL Region 10 Marching Contest held at Port Neches-Groves HS. The band worked towards this contest since the beginning of the school year. We are very proud of all their hard work which they have demonstrated not only at the contest, but at each of their Friday night performances. The band earned the top rating of "Superior" from the three judges. This rating qualified the band for the UIL Area Marching Contest held at the Lindale HS football stadium in Lindale on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Way to go Bulldog Band!

*Results from the Area Marching Contest will be shared in next week’s Bulldog Bulletin.

Superintendent John Seybold and the Jasper ISD Board of Trustees are proud to recognize the following:

  • From Latrica Sutton: Hannah Beadle with Lamar University admissions department met with approximately 40 seniors to complete "next steps" toward admissions. For some, that was submitting transcripts, others received assistance with creating their log in credentials for the Lamar portal, and others submitted their application for the first time. Hannah is amazing with our students and does such a great job connecting with them to reach for a brighter future.
  • Jennifer Herrington would like to brag on the Class of 2026 and their awesome work during the fall break. 108 College applications were submitted during the Apply Texas FREE Application week during our Fall Break. Big thanks go out to the JHS GO Center for setting our students up for success and WELL DONE Class of 2026!
  • Stephen Casey reports that the rPLCs that were implemented on the campus this year are making a big difference in the Jasper Junior High students' success.
  • From JISD Police Chief, Dr. Joshua Hadnot: Jasper Hospital District is providing Stop the Bleed kits for Officers/Nurses along with additional tourniquets in case of emergency. Also, TEA-approved Medical bags and will be distributed to all district locations. Our goal is make sure that during any medical emergency every location is equipped with essential life-saving equipment.
