Saving lives is a really GOOD THING!
A single blood donation can save up to three lives, and the Jasper High School staff and students did their part to make this happen.
On Wednesday, September 10, the Jasper High School Student Council and National Honor Society partnered with the Southeast Texas Blood Bank to host a successful blood drive. In total, 41 blood products were collected, some of which were:
- 26 whole blood donations
- 5 double donations
- 5 plasma donations
Thank you JHS students and staff for your service to others through your donation!
Mark your calendars for the next scheduled blood drive in November.

- Senior Ella Powell is the first recipient of the DuGood Federal Credit Union's new intiative, "Bulldogs Care," in which an outstanding student is recognized at each of the pep rallies this season. Ella exemplifies what it means to be a true Bulldog. She volunteers with the CAP Kids program and dedicates her time to the equine therapy program of Jasper ISD, providing invaluable support and care. Ella also maintains a positive online presence by actively promoting Jasper High School’s activities and programs, always cheering on her peers and showing great sportsmanship. Beyond her community involvement, Ella has devoted countless hours to helping others through the Sports Medicine program, consistently showing up because she believes it is the right thing to do. She continuously strives to improve – not just for herself, but for everyone around her. In recognition of being named the inaugural Bulldog's Care recipient, Ella was awarded a special gift and a cash prize.
- The Jasper Junior High math department gave their first unit assessment of the year, and are pleased with the results.
- JJHS teachers are studying and implementing practices from the The Fundamental 5: The Formula for Quality Instruction
