Have you ever not been successful at something in your life? If you are like most people, that has probably happened may times over the course of your life. Sometimes our students experience failures or unmet expectations and it can be very frustrating for them. Our responsibility as educators is to make sure that they know that this is a normal occurrence and provide the support that they need to be successful.

Parents can help by encouraging their student to get the extra help that they need. Students often feel that an assignment's grade is the end when in reality it show areas they understand or concepts that need extra effort. By discussing these issues, it shows that parents and the school are on the same page and that we all want the student to succeed academically.
