JJHS Updates
At Jasper Junior High, we take our responsibility to educate our students very seriously. We look at every students' data to find out exactly where they need to grow academically and target those areas in a myriad of ways. Focus Fridays and exit tickets are examples of strategies that our teachers are using to grow the scholars that walk into their classroom every day.
Social and emotional growth is also an area where we want to see our students progress throughout the year. In this effort, we partner with Capturing Kids' Hearts (CKH), which provides teachers with the tools to create a positive culture campus wide. Students are taught how to build relationships with teachers and each other as they learn to take responsibility for their actions. CKH offers many resources (so many that I do not have time to list them here) that allow us to meet the needs of our students so that they can become productive citizens after they leave Jasper ISD.
We try to be intentional about everything that we offer our students. Create a dialogue at home with your student that allows open communication about what they are learning at school. Students win when we work together. #PartnershipforLearning
